ReachFS stores the files you put in your drives encrypted on your own computer before they leave it, so we cannot read their contents or their names. To sync them we see what any server has to: how folders nest, file sizes and when changes happen. A notification about a file that was locked, conflicted or stuck uploading carries that file's name, so it can tell you which one.
We collect account details you give us — name, email address, billing information — and operational telemetry such as client version, crash reports and aggregate throughput. Telemetry is not tied to individual filenames.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your files to train machine learning models.
Files and names are encrypted on your devices with keys only your approved devices hold, and travel over TLS 1.3. A deleted file stays in your workspace's recycle bin for 30 days so it can be restored, and its data is then removed from storage after a further 30-day safety period.
Your files are always yours to copy off the drive. A workspace owner can delete a workspace from the app; to delete your account, write to privacy@reachfs.app.
